Scholarships & Financial Assistance

Navkis College of Engineering, Hassan (NCEH) is committed to ensuring inclusive and equitable access to quality education by supporting students through a wide range of government, AICTE, and institutional scholarship schemes. The institution has a well-defined Scholarship Facilitation and Monitoring Framework to ensure transparency, timely processing, and effective utilization of scholarships.

Scholarships at NCEH are aligned with student-centric policies, focusing on merit, socio-economic background, special achievements, and inclusivity.

Government & AICTE Scholarship Schemes

Students of NCEH are supported under the following Government of India and Government of Karnataka scholarship schemes, subject to eligibility criteria prescribed by the respective authorities:

    Departments: Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, Minority Welfare
    Eligibility: SC/ST/Minority students, annual family income as per norms
  • Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
    Departments: Department of Education (DTE), Technical Education Department
    Eligibility: Meritorious students from economically weaker sections
  • Defence Scholarship
    Departments: Defence Ministry / State Government
    Eligibility: Children of armed forces personnel
  • Fee Concession Scheme
    Departments: Backward Class Welfare / Agriculture Department
    Eligibility: Category-based, income criteria applicable

Institutional Scholarship Schemes

In addition to government scholarships, NCEH provides Institutional Scholarships to support deserving students through an Institutional Scholarship Committee, ensuring fairness and accountability.

Types of Institutional Scholarships
  • Merit-Based Scholarship
    Eligibility: Top academic performers (CGPA ≥ 8.5, no backlogs)
    Benefit: Up to 15% of tuition fee or ₹20,000
  • Single Parent / Orphan Scholarship
    Eligibility: Financially vulnerable students (annual income < ₹1 lakh)
    Benefit: Up to 15% of tuition fee or ₹25,000
  • Special Achievement Scholarship
    Eligibility: National-level achievers in sports, technical, or cultural activities
    Benefit: ₹5,000 – ₹15,000
  • Differently Abled Students Scholarship
    Eligibility: Students with ≥ 60% certified disability
    Benefit: Up to 15% of tuition fee or ₹20,000

Annual Institutional Scholarship Budget: ₹4.75 – ₹7.75 Lakhs per year

Scholarship Monitoring & Utilization

All scholarships are processed through a structured verification and monitoring mechanism involving:

  • Scholarship application support (SSP / NSP portals)
  • Eligibility screening based on attendance, performance, and norms
  • Verification by the Institutional Scholarship Committee
  • Regular follow-up to ensure timely disbursement

This ensures maximum reach, proper utilization, and transparency in scholarship distribution.
